Dear Undergraduate
Congratulations on starting the new semester and welcome to the new week!
This mountain that seems insurmountable has been conquered by your parents, by your older siblings, by your older friends and by me.
In Hebrews 12:1-2 the writer says
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”
We are your cloud of witnesses, our lives are proof that you can and will finish this journey. Our lives are assurance that you can and will excel, regardless of the task, coursework or reading assignment. That this journey will be beautiful and prosperous for you irrespective of the highs and lows you will encounter.
This cloud of witnesses exists to encourage and remind you that you CAN and you WILL.
Today my message to you is, “Reach out!” Ask questions, share your fears, concerns and confusions.
Communicate with the cloud of witnesses.
Here are a couple of steps to help you engage with your cloud of witnesses:
Write out five people you will be intentional about speaking to as you navigate university or whatever stage of life you’re in.
Write letters to them, record voice notes and share things with them.
Send one message daily during the week and use weekends to follow up on the conversation.
Remember they are God`s first resource for you!
Love,
Onyawoibi
This is beautiful😍
